Nothing to report

Well it’s been nearly a month since I posted, I'm sure most of you have been eagerly awaiting my latest blog post and eager to know what I have been up too... well nothing much really.

Been working hard, but nothing much really to report, just the same old stuff at work.  Busy but not so exciting, so I think it’s time to find a new challenge and a more exciting work environment.  Socially, I think I have had a quiet month really, been out with friends and done various things, but nothing much exciting, made a few new friends and actually gone somewhere new when I went to visit a friend and gone to Ra'anana which after all this time I've never actually been, hopefully next time I will have more time to look around.  What else went through to Haifa twice this month, once to meet up with a friend from Ulpan and catch up in person, even though we text often.  Also went to meet a new friend.

Also if you've seen my Twitter post on Facebook, I am going to attempt Yoga... yep try something new... please don't laugh.  The way I see it, I've spent a while recently feeling like I'm not getting out there, maybe it’s time to try new things, step out of my comfort zone again like I did when I came to Israel.  So hopefully Wednesday alongside a friend I'll try Yoga, it should be an interesting time.  Will update people on it :-).

Otherwise not much to report, 10 weeks to my holiday in England, but otherwise it’s all pretty much business as usual.  Hope to hear from you all and you have a good weekend and a week ahead

Blog Review of the Year 2013

Well it’s been a few weeks since I posted, but as I promised on my Facebook page, here it is Adam's review of his 2013.

The year did not start well for me in terms of work, having left the Paralegal position, I found myself back searching for work which is never an easy task, still I persevered and l had several interviews, sadly nothing came of them and after several months of hunting for a job I did become to get very down and depressed, I know that my friends stuck by me when I was feeling down and posting stuff on Facebook, so I appreciate that.  Still I continued to plug away and then at the end of April I got a temporary contract with a firm in Tel Aviv for an 8 week role in their firm.  So suddenly there was light at the end of the tunnel for me and I felt better about things, even if I knew it was only temporary.  The job was working with computers so it was fun and I even had an extra week which I got to test a game for the company, now if only it had been with real money and they had let me kept my winnings hehe.  Anyway after that, I was out of work again for only a few weeks this time fortunately and this job after a few months trial period became permanent and I've been there ever since.  The job isn't exciting, but I after so many short term jobs it’s good to have something that is stable.

I spent the year in 3 apartments here in Israel, I started the year in Rishon until the beginning of April where I finally moved into Tel Aviv, which was a pretty stressful experience in searching for a place to live as well as searching for work, fortunately I found somewhere for a 6 month period close to the beach, so when I wasn't working or searching for work I went to sit and read by the beach and watch the world go by.  After that as my 6 months drew to a close I knew I wanted to move, but it was the daunting task of finding a place.  Fortunately my friend Kylie had a solution which benefited both of us and since the beginning of October I've been sharing with her and more recently a 3 month old puppy called Kiki. After this I'm not sure where I will go, I am considering living by myself or if not I have to live with just one person as I don't like living with too many people.

Socially wise the year has been okay for me, my social life which was pretty non-existent for the 1st 4 months of the year did kick into high gear after moving to Tel Aviv as I was closer to friends and made new friends, so I managed to get out more than I had done in Rishon which was good, been to events and hung out with friends by the beach and the port and in bars, managed to do a lot of fun things.  Had a bit of a slump recently, but hoping that this year will bring more social stuff and more opportunities to meet people and make friends.  Love Life wise I've had plenty of dates but no success, as people keep telling me when I've felt like giving up on meeting 'her' I shouldn't worry, she is out there, I just have to find her.

General the year has had highs and lows, biggest low was the worry and stress of finding somewhere to live/job at the beginning of the year, it was very stressful in general and I was deeply worried that I might have to head back to England.  However I persevered and I'm still here.  The biggest high of the year was being on Television here in Israel discussing Aliyah and how hard it was, was very fun to do and even got recognised after the programme aired so that is amazing.

Almost forgot, big Mazal Tov to all my friends and family even who got married in 2013

Well that's it for my review, hope you enjoy reading and have enjoyed reading my thoughts, hope you'll continue to read and hope you all have a great 2014.
